Tū Mai Taikura

Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou ka ora ai te reo me ōna tikanga i Taikura.

You and I will enliven Te Reo and tikanga in Taikura!

This proverb emulates the focus of the rōpū Tū Mai Taikura – Stand together Taikura. We are a group of whānau who meet once per term to look at how we can support the school with Māori student achievement, and leading the school in outcomes for Māori as a whole. Open to all who have a heart for this kaupapa, we work in a largely Māori process, and our rōpū is open to all who would like to contribute with their skill, knowledge, time, or enthusiasm.

Join our “Tū Mai Taikura” Facebook page to keep up with what’s happening within our rōpū Māori and the wider Māori community, including dates and times of our next hui.

Nau mai, haere mai, whakatau mai koutou katoa.

He kai kei aku ringa

There is food at the end of my hands.

(Said by a person who can use their basic abilities and resources to create success.)
